Nick has more than a decade of experience crafting complex solutions and creating value in a wide range of transaction types across real estate restructuring, private equity, and investment management. Now he works closely with owners and occupiers at all stages of the real estate life cycle to craft well-rounded strategies that maximize value at each stage. His specialty is in debt capital markets and business development.

Nick brings firsthand know-how from multiple aspects of finance and real estate to meet the intricate goals of successful entrepreneurs and business leaders. He has advised both debtors and creditors in high-profile commercial real estate bankruptcies, including JCPenney and CBL Properties. Further, he has close to a decade of experience in the commercial-mortgage-backed securities (‘CMBS’) industry working for both investors and a global credit rating agency. Nick has extensive experience in assessing risk and value-added investing; he has underwritten more than 100 conduit and single asset transactions and identified value-add multifamily acquisitions for a private equity firm in Nashville. He also brings expertise and proven strategies from outside of commercial real estate, having executed financial restructurings for clients across the retail, e-commerce, and media & entertainment industries.

Prior, Nick led operations and capital structures restructuring for clients in retail real estate as Vice President and subsequently, Senior Vice President, of the Turnaround & Restructuring Group at AlixPartners.

Nick earned an MBA from Vanderbilt University and dual BAs in Economics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

He lives in Nashville, TN with his wife and daughter.
